Design to LEED CI Silver standards, this coveted project for Johns Hopkins presented interesting logistical challenges. First, the structure itself was actually the top two levels of a five story, high volume, campus parking garage. With only ribbon walls of perimeter glazing, the entire facility was constructed from a cold and dark shell. Working with the design team, KANE utilized all aspects of the LEED Gold design and methodology to install the core and shell package while extending passenger elevator service to the two new floors of tenant areas. The tenant space itself is a blend of private offices utilizing a DIRTT wall package, systems furniture stations, high-end kitchens and multiple conference and meeting rooms with FSC certified White Oak paneling utilizing stainless steel and glass accents throughout.Other notable LEED projects include:
